How does Usage-Based Billing work?

For some services, you will be charged based on how much a feature was used during your previous billing period. This is in contrast to other services, which are a prepaid flat fee for the upcoming month (e.g. plans, page rules, etc).

Usage-Based Billing example:

You enable Rate Limiting rules for your website on March 15 and are normally billed monthly on the 20th (i.e. your next bill will be on March 20).  Your March 20th  invoice will include the Rate Limiting charges from March 15-20.  The next invoice on April 20 will include charges for Rate Limiting usage between March 21 – April 20.
