How do I add Google Apps MX mail records?

  1. Log into your Cloudflare Account.
  2. From the dropdown menu on the top left, select your domain.
  3. Click the "DNS" link at the top of the page.
  4. Add the MX records listed as follows:
Name/Host/Alias TTL Record Type Priority Value/Answer/Destination
Blank or @ Auto MX 1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
Blank or @ Auto MX 5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
Blank or @ Auto MX 5 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
Blank or @ Auto MX 10 ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
Blank or @ Auto MX 10 ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

Your end result should look similar to to this.

These records can be found at https://support.google.com/a/answer/174125?hl=en

Note that you shouldn't be using any other MX records as these can cause unexpected behavior.

Note: You must use your domain in the MX value fields. The example below is just to show the structure and format of the entries. DO  NOT use the domain name in the image below.

You can check to see if you've setup Google Apps email correctly by using the Google checking tool here: https://toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/checkmx/check
