Can I upload a self-signed SSL certificate to Cloudflare? (Business and Enterprise only)

We do not allow for the upload of self-signed SSL certificates for the Business and Enterprise plans. You must have a valid SSL certificate signed from a valid certificate authority to upload your own certificates to Cloudflare.

Note: Self-signed SSL certs are fine for usage on your origin server, since this does not require an actual upload to Cloudflare. Remember that you'll want to use the Full SSL option (not Full Strict) in order to have encryption between Cloudflare and your server(s).
