Where can I find WAF events?

To find WAF events:

     1. Log in to the Cloudflare dashboard.

2. Click the appropriate Cloudflare account for the domain where you will add records.

     3. Ensure the proper domain is selected.

4. Click the Firewall app.

5. The Events tab lists the Firewall Event Log.

Enterprise domains have additional firewall analytics and Firewall Events listed in the Overview tab instead of the Events tab.

For any event that you'd like further detail on, you can click 'Details' to expand the view. This can help you find details details about why a WAF event occurred.

How do I search for a WAF event by IP or event?

To search for a WAF event by IP:

  1. Log into your Cloudflare account.
  2. Visit the Firewall app.
  3. Click the Events tab.
  4. In the search box under Firewall Event Log, type in an IP address.
  5. In the selector by the search box, select IP Address

To search for a WAF event by event:

  1. Log into your Cloudflare account.
  2. Visit the Firewall app.
  3. Click the Events tab.
  4. In the search box under Firewall Event Log, type in the rule ID that was triggered in the event.
  5. In the selector by the search box, select Rule ID
