When should I use Cloudflare's paid SSL option over free Universal SSL?

Cloudflare's free SSL option does have some browser and operating system limitations due to its use of Server Name Indication. This requires that your site visitors have a modern browser to visit the site in https://. If you have a lot of site visitors visiting your site in legacy browsers, then upgrading to one of our paid plans would be the choice to make (standard SSL does not have the same browser and operating system limitations). Once you upgrade our to a paid plan, Cloudflare issues certificates that do not require Server Name Indication and are compatible with older browsers automatically.
